Village wine from Tattendorf
Pinot gris reserve 2024 is a village wine (Ortswein) of the Thermenregion DAC: its grapes come from vineyards in the municipality of Tattendorf, so it carries the village rather than a single vineyard in its name. The vineyards there lie on pure gravel that holds hardly any water and naturally has little humus. Its rows are green all year, sown with clover, phacelia and buckwheat instead of grass. We use no herbicides.
The 2024 harvest
The must for Pinot gris reserve 2024 measured 21.5 °KMW: the Klosterneuburg must scale shows how much sugar is in the grape juice, one degree being roughly one per cent.
