It is dense, with fresh notes of sour cherry and chocolate. The batch holds 1.600 litres. At competitions the St. Laurent reserve 2021 collected gold at the Thermenregion Wine Awards 2025, 96 points at the Organic Wine Award International and a place in the Thermenregion Top 100 2023.

Ried Gestein
The grapes for St. Laurent reserve 2021 grow in the Ried Gestein vineyard in Teesdorf, on pure gravel that holds hardly any water and naturally has little humus. Its rows are green all year, sown with clover, phacelia and buckwheat instead of grass. We use no herbicides.
The 2021 harvest
The must for St. Laurent reserve 2021 measured 20.5 °KMW: the Klosterneuburg must scale shows how much sugar is in the grape juice, one degree being roughly one per cent.
What the figures say
St. Laurent reserve 2021 has 13.2 % vol. alcohol, 1.0 g/l residual sugar and 5.6 g/l acidity. It is made in a dry style, which under wine law means no more than 4 g/l residual sugar, or up to 9 g/l if the acidity is at most 2 g/l lower.
The sugar-free extract of St. Laurent reserve 2021 is 30.8 g/l: everything dissolved in the wine apart from water, alcohol and sugar, such as minerals, acids and tannins. In the laboratory, it showed 31 mg/l free and 57 mg/l total sulphur. Per 100 ml, it has 319 kJ or 77 kcal. It received the official inspection number N 20854/23 after being analysed in the laboratory and tasted by an official panel.

St. Laurent reserve 2021 belongs to our Reserve line, whose wines stay in the barrel longest with us. Depending on variety and vintage, 20 to 80 per cent new barrels are used for it.
