Ried Hutweide
The grapes for Pinot blanc selection 2024 grow in the Ried Hutweide vineyard in Tattendorf, on pure gravel that holds hardly any water and naturally has little humus. Its rows are green all year, sown with clover, phacelia and buckwheat instead of grass. We use no herbicides.
The 2024 harvest
The must for Pinot blanc selection 2024 measured 20.5 °KMW: the Klosterneuburg must scale shows how much sugar is in the grape juice, one degree being roughly one per cent.
What the figures say
Pinot blanc selection 2024 has 13.4 % vol. alcohol, 3.7 g/l residual sugar and 5.6 g/l acidity. It is made in a dry style, which under wine law means no more than 4 g/l residual sugar, or up to 9 g/l if the acidity is at most 2 g/l lower.
The sugar-free extract of Pinot blanc selection 2024 is 21.8 g/l: everything dissolved in the wine apart from water, alcohol and sugar, such as minerals, acids and tannins. In the laboratory, it showed 34 mg/l free and 107 mg/l total sulphur. Per 100 ml, it has 326 kJ or 78 kcal. It received the official inspection number N 20327/25 after being analysed in the laboratory and tasted by an official panel.
