The Frivolo 2023 is no longer available from the estate, it has all been drunk. This Gemischter Satz came from Ried Römerberg in Baden and we picked it on 18 September. For the Thermenregion 2023 was a lean year: no other wine-growing area in Lower Austria saw such a drop compared with 2022, a fall of 16 %.

It was medium-dry, youthfully fresh and delicately muscat-scented. In total there were 2.200 litres. The Frivolo Gemischter Satz 2023 earned gold at the Thermenregion Wine Awards 2024.

Ried Römerberg
The grapes for Frivolo Gemischter Satz 2023 grow in the Ried Römerberg vineyard in Baden. Its rows are green all year, sown with clover, phacelia and buckwheat instead of grass. We use no herbicides.
The 2023 harvest
We harvested Frivolo Gemischter Satz 2023 on 18 September 2023. The must measured 19 °KMW: the Klosterneuburg must scale shows how much sugar is in the grape juice, one degree being roughly one per cent.
What the figures say
Frivolo Gemischter Satz 2023 has 11.8 % vol. alcohol, 14.5 g/l residual sugar and 5.4 g/l acidity. It is made in a medium dry style, which under wine law means more residual sugar than dry, at most 12 g/l, or up to 18 g/l if the acidity is at most 10 g/l lower.
The sugar-free extract of Frivolo Gemischter Satz 2023 is 19.1 g/l: everything dissolved in the wine apart from water, alcohol and sugar, such as minerals, acids and tannins. In the laboratory, it showed 45 mg/l free and 92 mg/l total sulphur. Per 100 ml, it has 297 kJ or 71 kcal. It received the official inspection number N 22592/23 after being analysed in the laboratory and tasted by an official panel.
